Day 1:
We will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the fabulous Midnight Sun B&B in downtown Whitehorse. It is located next to the Yukon River and within walking distance all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores. Information meeting and registration for optional tours at our B&B, fitting of winter clothing, time for shopping and dinner on your own. 10pm departure for Aurora viewing. Our driver will take you to different Northern Light viewing locations to ensure you have the best viewing experience possible according to nightly conditions. At the time we will provide you with hot drinks and snacks making your northern lights viewing experience even more enjoyable. Return to the B&B around 1:30am.
Day 2:
Sleep in the morning. Full hot western breakfast available. 10am city tour with Main street, train depot of White Pass & Yukon Route, visitor reception centre, log sky scrapers, old log church, sternwheeler SS Klondike, fish ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. Afternoon, we will take you to visit the MacBride Museum, Yukon Transportation Museum and Beringia Interpretive Centre, where you can learn more about the Yukon’s past. 6pm, back to B&B. Dinner on your own. 9:30pm departure for Aurora viewing. Tonight we will take you to the famous Takhini Hot Springs. You can soak in the hot springs with a hot drink while you wait for the northern lights to appear. Return to your B&B 1:30am.
Day 3:
Breakfast at the B&B. We will stop by the Indian Craft Shop which features First Nation art and crafts. Afternoon, we will bring you to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. This is an excellent guided tour and great opportunities to view and photograph wildlife in its natural habitat: Dall sheep, big horn sheep, mountain goat, deer, elk, woodland caribou, wood bison, musk-ox and moose may be seen, usually up close! 4:45pm, we will transfer you to the dog kennel to visit the husky dogs and dine at the kennel. At dinner you will have the home-cooked bounty of locally sourced Arctic char, bison, elk, comprise the main course and fresh vegetables and dessert options are also included. 8pm back to B&B and rest till 10pm. Tonight, we will go to Grey mountain and the surrounding area to check out the northern lights. 1:30am back to B&B.
Day 4:
Breakfast at the B&B. City tour in the morning at your leisure to do some final souvenir shopping. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
